Coaching in Exeter and online

Practical, collaborative coaching for people ready to make changes at work or in life, with a particular interest in neurodivergent professionals.

Coaching

People come to coaching at a turning point: a new role, a return to work, a decision that keeps getting put off, or a sense that something needs to change. Coaching gives you a focused space to work out what matters, what is getting in the way, and what you want to do next.

I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent adults, many of whom are good at their jobs and worn out by the effort of doing them. I also work with people managing a health condition alongside work, and with carers balancing their own goals with caring.

What we might work on

  • Confidence and self-belief, especially after a setback or time away

  • Decisions, transitions and changes of direction

  • Planning, prioritising and following through, with strategies that fit how you think

  • Noticing the early signs of burnout and building in recovery before you reach it

  • Working out which reasonable adjustments would help at work, and how to ask for them

  • Returning to work after time off, or thinking about a change of role

How I work

Coaching with me is practical and collaborative. We agree goals together, you try things out between sessions, and we review what worked and what didn't. There's no fixed programme, because what helps one person can get in another's way.

I'm also a BACP-registered counsellor with a PhD and a research background, and I have lived experience as a parent carer of neurodivergent family members. That means I understand the practical side of change and the emotional side, and I'll notice if coaching isn't what you need.

Is coaching right for you?

Coaching works best when you're broadly coping and ready to make changes. If low mood, anxiety or past experiences keep getting in the way, counselling may suit you better, and I offer both.

Funding

If you're employed and neurodivergent or living with a health condition, Access to Work or your employer may be able to pay for coaching. I'm happy to provide a quote or information to support an application.
